Well, I woke up this morning still very annoyed by this problem – and realizing that my question ablove made NO sense – so I just went ahead and downloaded your setup. I installed the Compatability Driver, and it works as described, but has created a new problem for me. Would it also be possible to write an intercept or listener that listened for the commands coming from the lyra wireless remote control? When I use the back pannel usb port, the program still installs correctly but it does not affect the port the usb is plugged into and the driver is still missing in the device manager. I am running the Windows 7 Beta right now and I can confirm that the Lyra does not work with it. Something worth trying would be to copy the usbaudio. How do I troubleshoot the USB protion of this problem.
It does work, I can test the speakers to a rd900ab system, but I cannot tell Vista to use the Lyra, everything goes out of the Realtek Hi Def lyyra, which I access from the headphone jacks on the PC.

Vista just treats Lyra as an alternative sound card, so I just switch to Lyra in Control Panel and all of my computer rd090wb are pumped through the wireless device, including music being played through Windows Media Player or VLC Player.
